Crashed near Winkel, north-east of Alkmaar. In the Winkel churchyard their remains were buried in a single collective grave with a simple wooden cross. After some months, their names were received via the Red Cross and the villagers provided a worthy civil headstone with all names engraved. Still here today. |
Quite unique location and grave. See for photos our site page file on Cemetery Winkel. Search on - Cemeteries - Lake Area Cemeteries - Winkel
