Dogfight above Meppel. Shot down by German Lt. Münster. P-38 dove in ground next to Lake Schutsloterweide (parts recovered 1981). Lt. Hascall parachuted midst in the lake, wind dragged him accross. Died of exposure in the hands of a boot crew. |
