Possibly crashed in NW IJsselmeer. |
Last radio contact was NW Texel island. Possibly pursuited or damaged on return to Soesterberg, crossed Wieringen and A/C crashed in northwest lake IJsselmeer or Wadden Sea.
Elterlein was found northside Afsluitdijk in the Wadden Sea on 18 September Breehorn, west of Stroe.
Two bodies, Kujawa and Alexander were recovered from Lake IJsselmeer (Old Zuyder Sea).
On the 8 of November 1941, an unknown German airman washed ashore at Kijkduin Den Helder. He had a wedding ring engraved 'E.S. 25.10.1938'.
Is there a relation with pilot Monning?
