Crashed south of Schiphol airfield. Suspected in water, possibly Kagerplas. Claim of Dutch Fokker D21 points into this direction. Crew was missing for some time. (Re-) buried 20 July 1940 in Amsterdam, no entry data in our files. However reburied in Ysselsteyn in the 'Amsterdam-plot' CW, graves 261, 262, 287 and 288. Of crash in Lake IJsselmeer no evidence found (2 Jan. 2015). |
