Possibly Sgt. Brooks was in the aircraft at the time of the crash and entangled in the wreckage. After 6,5 months his remains were fished up and brought to Oudenschild-harbour on Texel Island, or he washed ashore there. Buried 29 April 1942 as English airman W. Brooks.
