During construction work for a pedestrian tunnel in the train station in 1978, the aircraft wreck was discovered. The wreck and Lt. Albino's remains were recovered by the RNLAF recovery team. He was positive identified in the United States and buried in the Mount Calvary Cemetery, Portland, USA.
