ROUVEEN (BIJ STAPHORST)
Cemetery in the Centre of Amsterdam. During WW2, the German Luftwaffe used this large, modern and well organized civilian cemetery for burial of more than 330 Allied war dead, most airmen (pilots). They were brought in from Lake IJsselmeer (Old Zuyder Sea/Zuider zee), Zandvoort beach (North Sea) and from crash sites in the Amsterdam area. The war graves section contains the largest number of Lake airwar casualties in The Netherlands. This article is the result of our 2011/2012-research on the original wartime burial records. The war history of the cemetery and details on each buried soldier are told, including an overview and description (and possible ID) of the more than 50 airmen who are buried here as Unknown.

Voordeel is dat gezien kan worden of een dossiernummer al in gebruik is, bovendien komen de begraafplaatsdossiers helemaal onderaan de lijst te staan vanwege hun 900 nummer.
