FRANEKER GENERAL CEMETERY
In the summer of 1942 three washed ashore airmen were buried here. In grave 1 is F/Sgt. Bruce Weaver from Canada (Hudson AM878, crashed off IJmuiden in the North Sea on 18 April 1942). In grave 2 is an unknown Canadian officer, washed ashore 13th of July 1942, see photo below. Grave 3 is last resting place of Sgt. Robertson J. Rennie, crashed in the Wadden Sea in Halifax W1179 on 20 July 1942 and washed ashore later.
